I’m pleased to announce a new addition to The Design Loft: a subscriber chat.
I set up this private conversation space in the Substack app exclusively for subscribers — like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion. It’s casual and infrequent and there when you want it. It’s also entirely optional — if chat’s not your thing, no problem.
Why chat? Lessons, tips and tools are excellent references, but when you’re looking to apply what you learn, it’s easy to get stuck. Chat — just like comments and Notes — is another way to reach out and ask for help, share an insight, or deepen your learning. It’s here to help you learn by doing, while you’re doing it.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss a conversation as it happens. Participate as much as you’d like. I’ll do my best to respond promptly.
This is a chance to engage more about design, difference-making, evaluation and impact with me and other subscribers. As this space grows, I hope this will add a little extra to your practice and help us elevate our impact.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
